![]() This worked somewhat and sometimes, but it did not always work, unfortunately, and when it didn't, there was almost no visible color. I found a stippling brush to work better, and I gently flicked the brush against my cheeks to deposit color, waited 10 seconds, and then tried to diffuse and even out the color. I tried using a sponge, but the sponge seemed to absorb a lot of the color that it made it hard to get detectable coverage out of it. This is my go-to method with cream-based cheek colors, and it usually works, but I couldn't get the color to stay and place. It had the worst application when I used fingertips to apply, which I'd apply by patting and pressing the color (gently!) onto my cheeks and using the edge of my fingertip to soften. I struggled to apply the formula, and I tried using fingertips, sponges, and various brushes both over foundation, under foundation, over bare skin, and even over powder (which is the opposite of what they say to do!).įor me, it seemed like the issue was that there was way too much slip in the product, so instead of applying and blending out, the color just pushed around. The formula is supposed to have "buildable coverage" with a "hint" of dewiness that can be applied with fingertips, sponge, or a duo fiber brush and is recommended to be applied prior to powder products. The color lasted for five hours at best.įURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). It did not apply well over base products as it was prone to lifting them up. If I tried to blend out the product more, it lifted away and got pushed around, which created patchiness. I let it dry down for about 10 seconds, and I tried to soften the edges using the brush, but it was always a little uneven anyway. I did one area at a time, working my way from the apple of the cheek to the temple. I had the best luck applying this shade using a stippling brush after I swirled and diffused product on the back of my hand, almost giving it a chance to dry down before I even started working with it on my cheeks.įrom there, I used a lighter-hand and feathered on the product with gentle presses of the brush against my cheek. The texture was very emollient and fluid, to the point where it was aptly described as runny, so it was easier to squeeze out a little on the back of my hand to pick up product from. It had sheer color coverage, which was difficult to build up–as marketed–and it was a challenge to even maintain sheer, even coverage as the product moved around during application. XOXO □ ![]() They added a SS shade to the three 9 palette so another reason to buy them. And don't laugh but I have never tried their Super Shock shadows before. I'm all about the fresh light and fairy type of look. ![]() Like you this new celestial line is tempting!!! The dark smokey eye look has gotten old to me. I am a fan of ColourPop but I only owe a few of their palettes. I've tried the Kaja brand and I love the look of their products but it has been hit or miss. I will pull the trigger and buy it! The 3CE isn't one that I am familiar with but I will look them up. I read many reviews but it's hard to trust reviews. Can't remember the name but really I love all of them. They do have exquisite packaging! I especially love the purple palete. Thank you for replying and answering my question!! □ I have been going back and forth with the Zeesea collection.
